Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Borders & Stories account and all of its data at any time. There are two ways to do it, depending on whether you still have the app installed.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and login
- Your profile and settings
- Every country, city, and region you've marked visited
- Flights, GPX routes, and budget entries
- Journal entries, landmarks, and lists
- Photos you've uploaded
This happens immediately and can't be undone. Some limited data may be retained briefly afterward only where required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or backup recovery — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Option 1: In the app
Open Borders & Stories and go to Settings.
Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
Type DELETE to confirm. Your account and content are removed from our active systems immediately.
Option 2: Without the app installed
Email passport@bordersandstories.com from the address associated with your account, with the subject "Delete my account." We'll verify it's you and process the deletion manually within a few business days, removing the same data listed above.
